Dear Compatriot;

   The new number of the “Dielli” newspaper has now hit the newsstands. AS we have announced previously, since September of 2009, the newspaper “Dielli” is being published monthly. Beside the newsstand distribution in New York, the newspaper has almost 1 thousand  mail recipients in the US and Canada. The newspaper is also being  distributed to administrative institutions in Albania and Kosova as well a in libraries across the US.

   In the new number of “Dielli”  we continue to explore historical and literal thematic as well as everything that is new in the Albanian community in the US.

  The chronicles and reports for the Albanian community  in NY  are dominated by the activities that were organized in remembrance of the 4th anniversary of the passing of the President of Kosova Mr. Ibrahim Rugova; the collection efforts of the Albanian community through Vatra and  the Catholic Church “Zoja e Shkodres” for the natural disaster in Albania.

  A full picture is presented through the articles  “Neno mos ki frike se ke djemte ne Amerike” ans “Plaget mjjekohen kur dhe mbin”

 This number’s editorial is written by the journalist Sinan Kamberaj.”Njeriu I shenjave te medha”.

  The historical part is dedicated to  Bajram Curri which is described through the words of one of those who accompanied him in his last trip to the Dragobia Cave , Mr. Tahir Zajmi , who recorded this trip in his diary.

  In the English section beside the article of Genc KOrca “The red elephant in Albania’s Living room” ,  we’re publishing 6 letter s  of Albanian Americans to the New York Times  as a reply to  the  article of Serbian Foreign Minister Jeremic—warticle that was published in the NYT.

  Gëzim Llojdia is represented in this edition of Dielli with an article dedicated to Dhimiter Kolea who financed  KOngresi I Lushnjes.

Gjergj KAstriot Skenderbeu is dedicated a special  corner in this new edition as well as an article for Gjon Muzaka written by Aristotel MIci “Mesazhi I memories se Gjon Muzaskes”

  Reflections for the second completed edition of the book  “Dosja  e diktatures” of Dr. Pjeter Pepa  are also part  of this edition authored by Klajd Kapinova.

  Our book section also includes an analysis of Visar Zhiti’s novel “Ne Kohen e Britmes”.

Origjinal publications  include  a poetic cycle  of Namik Selmani, an Albanian poet  from Cameria.

We’re also reporting on the activities organized  in memory of Abaz Kupi

  Publishing part of Uran Kostreci’s novel of 2009 “Pabesia” we bring you  the WWII conflict, the execution of kosovars and  the results of the class conflicts in Albania.

  We’re also publishing a list of new books  donated to the Library of Vatra—one of the most valuable and authentic Albanian American library in the US.

  Regrettably we also announce the passing  away of the sport’s master Panajot Pano, artist Sali Mani  and the great translator Pashk Gjeci.
